Bingaman Jeff

Jeff Bingaman is a US Senator that was given birth to on the 3rd of October, 1943 into a family with serious small town background. His growing up days was in Silver City, New Mexico. His father; a professor of science taught at the Western New Mexico University, while his mother was a public school teacher.

After he graduated from Western High School (now known as Silver High School) he headed for Harvard University to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in government. This was in 1965. After which, he then enrolled to study law at the Stanford Law School, completing his studies in the year 1968. It was while in Stanford studying law that he met Anne Kovacovich who later became his wife. They have a son.

Alright after being called to the bar, Senator Bingaman began work as an attorney (private practice) with his wife. And from the years 1968 – 1974, he was a US Army Reserve member. Also, the senator had a brief work experience in the office of Attorney General. There after he offered himself to serve in the position of the Attorney General in 1978 and was duly elected. Some of the important issues that were of great concerns to him during his tenure as the State Attorney General include antitrust as well as environmental issues.

His first time or first term in the Senate was due to his unseating of the incumbent, Harrison Schmitt after winning him in the election that took place in 1982. Today, he is one of the longest serving senators and has survived five terms, facing serious opposition only once in the year 1994.

One of the areas that the senator has been much involved in is the illegal immigration debate. This is understandable since New Mexico the state that he represents is one that lies at the border. He believes that border enforcement should be increased in order to checkmate the influx of illegal immigrants.

Kelly Ayotte hails from Nashua, New-Hampshire and is a member of the US Senate. She was born on the 27th of July, 1968 and is the first female Attorney General of New Hampshire. She was appointed to this position for the first time in the year 2004 and then reappointed twice thereafter. Her election to the Senate was in 2010 after winning 60% of the votes cast. In the House, Senator Kelly serves in various committees – Small Businesses, Armed Services, Budget, and Commerce.

When she was Attorney General, the Senator worked together with the law enforcement statewide to ensure the protection of New-Hampshire citizens. In this way, she helped in distinguishing this State not just as one of the safest in the country, but in fact as the safest. She worked tirelessly in her effort to make sure that stiff new laws that crackdown on internet and sexual predators were passed, especially against those targeting children.
